Housing designed for those struggling to find their own residence post program graduation.
What is the Mommy and Me Program?
The RHP Mommy and Me Program was designed for mothers who have a solid foundation for their recovery or reentry yet still need some additional support. This program is meant to help those with small children, 12 years old and under, who are struggling to find safe, independent housing. Women in the Mommy and Me Program are individually screened and held to a high standard to ensure the safety of everyone in the home . Women will be held accountable and still be expected to work their recovery aftercare program as well as maintain gainful employment. Random drug testing, mandatory substance use treatment, mental health treatment, and parenting classes will be required by anyone enrolled in this program. If the client does not have access to treatment, treatment may be provided through RHP.
The ideal candidate for this program is someone who has successfully completed a substance use treatment program and has transitioned to an aftercare program. Clients must be able to hold themselves and others accountable and be able to self-govern. The home provides a separate room for visitations, meetings with caseworkers, and play area. There is also a stocked pantry of diapers, formula, clothing, toys, and other items available for use. Any mother looking to join this program will have access to case management to ensure the needs of mother and child(ren) are met as well as assist in setting short and long-term goals. The RHP partners with a variety of agencies in the area to ensure the client can find housing and other resources for when they leave the RHP Mommy and Me Program.
Clients may or may not be involved with Division of Family Services. RHP is a mandated reporter and will report any drug use, neglect, abuse, or criminal activity as there is a zero tolerance. Guests are strictly prohibited to be on property unless at the discretion of the Directors of the program.
It is our hope that providing safe, accountable housing can lead to more children having their mothers back in their lives. This program can also help mothers find the confidence to continue their recovery and allow them to demonstrate what it is like to be a successful, independent adult.
This is a one time non-refundable administrative fee - $200.00
Weekly Program fee for each mother $180.00
Due to the sensitive nature of housing involving children in a program house, clients will be held to very strict standard. Applicants must know that any use of prohibited substances will result in not only being dismissed from the program but the incident will be reported. RHP is a mandated reporting organization. All applicants will be subject to an interview at our office to measure suitability for the program. There will b e no exceptions to this rule.
