Housing designed for those struggling to find their own residence post program graduation.
Have you graduated a sober living / recovery program? Are you struggling to find housing because of your criminal past? The Next Step Program is designed to help those that are struggling with safe independent housing. It designed for people to be able to find housing that includes their dependents, while still being safe. It is a program and there are rules but it is designed to bridge the gap between sober living and being unable to find a safe place to live.
Many people graduate from a sober living program and are excited about for the next chapter in their life to begin. They begin to search for a house or apartment to rent, only to discover their criminal convictions are keeping them from being able to lease a home. This discovery can be very discouraging and often send people right back to the people, places, and things that led to their difficulties in the first place. For many people they just end up right back in the same place, incarcerated, or back in their addiction.
The Next Step Program is designed to address this by giving these people a choice. The program gives clients the chance to have housing that is part of a program that allows them to be independent, and have their loved ones live with them while demonstrating the accountability that they have learned in their life. The program is designed over time to help clients to be able to overcome their problems with being able to lease a residence. Having a safe home is one of the most important parts of a successful recovery.
